In 1900, the Najjar family master soap-makers started making Aleppo soaps, along with the current CEO’s great uncle.
In 1964, liquid Aleppo soap was invented by Mr. NAJJAR Manar, the current CEO’s grandfather.
By the end of 1996, an import-export company was created for the takeover of the family business in Syria.
A medical doctor by profession, Manar NAJJAR recognised the benefits and virtues of Aleppo Soap and decided promoting it in France. This marked the start of the distribution of Aleppo soap in France and then across Europe. Manar's brother, Samer, and their grandfather run the family business in Syria.
The sale of cosmetic products was increasing in France and internationally. In 2005, the company became SARL NAJEL. Gaining momentum, the company has invested into a second warehouse for storing all products.
After more than three years, SAS|NAJJAR has turned to exporting: the products are distributed by the largest wholesalers throughout the European Union and internationally: Far East, Russia, North and South America (including the city of Chicago, where they are in partnership with a company, which distributes NAJEL products in the United States).
In total, NAJEL products are sold in more than 26 countries.
The president of the company Manar NAJJAR connects the two entities in France and Syria to ensure the transparency of raw materials and to guarantee you perfect traceability from production to distribution.
